Dry Suit Diver Course Dive Deeper, Stay Warmer, Explore More
Ready to unlock a whole new world of scuba diving? The Dry Suit Diver Course lets you dive comfortably in colder waters — where the best marine life, vibrant underwater landscapes, and stunning photo opportunities often hide.
Many of the world's most rewarding dive sites are in cooler temperatures. A dry suit keeps you completely dry and warm by trapping a layer of insulating air, so you can enjoy longer, more comfortable dives without the chill. You'll even find dry suits useful in tropical destinations during cooler months or for extended bottom times.
Whether you're looking to extend your diving season, explore new destinations, or simply stay warmer on every dive, this course gives you the confidence and skills to dive safely and enjoyably in a dry suit.
You’ll start with the included flexible online e-learning that fits around your schedule, followed by hands-on training. The course also includes full dry suit rental, giving you everything you need to practice and dive comfortably.
What You'll Learn
In this hands-on specialty course, you'll master everything you need to know about dry suit diving:
- Types of dry suits — including materials, features, and how they work
- Proper donning, doffing, and fit for maximum comfort and safety
- Buoyancy control using the dry suit (in addition to your BCD)
- How to manage air in the suit and handle unique dry suit emergencies
- Accessories, undergarments, and inflation systems
- Routine maintenance, care, and basic repairs so your suit lasts for years
You'll practice these skills first in confined water (pool or shallow area) and then apply them during open water dives with your instructor.
